The free-to-play MOBA Pokémon Unite will shut down on March 23, 2027, after five years of service. A final special event beginning November 12, 2026, will include a 'library' feature allowing players to access earned items and content post-shutdown. The Pokémon Company cited gratitude for players in its announcement.
In-game purchases of Aeos gems and Unite Club memberships were suspended on October 27, 2026. A competitive tournament, the Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo event, will proceed with qualifiers on December 5, 2026. Players will no longer be able to log in or play battles after the shutdown date.
