Two sponsored deal posts from PCWorld, both dated Aug. 28, 2026, advertise discounted lifetime licenses for Windows 11 Pro through Sept. 1. One offer sells a standalone Windows 11 Pro license for $7.97, down from an MSRP of $199. The other combines Windows 11 Pro with Office Professional 2021 for $32.97, against a combined MSRP of $418.99.
Both versions of Windows 11 Pro include the same core features: BitLocker full-disk encryption, Hyper-V for running virtual machines, Windows Sandbox for isolated app testing, and Azure AD support for business identity and network management. Standard Windows 11 features are also included, such as Snap layouts for organizing windows, TPM 2.0-backed biometric sign-in, DirectX 12 Ultimate for gaming, and Copilot integration in the taskbar for answering questions, summarizing content, and generating text, images, or code.
The bundled offer additionally includes Office Professional 2021, which provides Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Publisher, and Access. According to the listing, this covers everyday documents, email, data analysis, reports, and presentations, with a ribbon interface and formatting tools for adjusting fonts, layouts, and indentation.
Both listings stress that buyers should run Microsoft's PC Health Check app before purchasing. The licenses are intended for computers that already meet Windows 11's system requirements; a Windows 10 PC that cannot receive the free Windows 11 upgrade through Windows Update will not be able to install either version.
Each Windows license is limited to installation on a single PC, carries no recurring fees, and cannot be transferred. In the bundle offer, the Office license also applies to one PC only.
