GamesBeat reported that four industry sources familiar with Rockstar's plans indicate GTA 6 will launch on Windows PC within the first three months of 2027. This would mark a shorter wait for PC players compared to previous Rockstar titles, which typically took over a year to arrive on PC after console releases.
The console version of GTA 6 is scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not confirmed the PC release date, and the company traditionally prioritizes console launches before addressing PC platforms, as seen with GTA 5 (2013 console launch, 2015 PC release) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018 console launch, 2019 PC release).
The report also suggests GTA 6's multiplayer mode, potentially called GTA Online 2, could launch in 2027. Twitch CEO Dan Clancy previously mentioned a "big bump in viewers" for the platform when Rockstar releases multiplayer content, though Rockstar has not confirmed details about the online component.
