Dell's monitor division has reportedly initiated a price adjustment for most models, with the change set to take effect this month. According to internal communications cited by IT Home and ChannelGate, mid-range and high-end displays face around 3% to 5% increases, while entry-level monitors remain unaffected for now. Premium models may experience larger price jumps, though specifics were not disclosed.

The adjustment follows earlier cost increases in July, when Dell absorbed expenses rather than passing them to consumers. A source indicated this looks like the first time these costs are being transferred to buyers, with potential for further revisions if expenses continue to rise. The report does not specify regions or exact models impacted by the change.

TrendForce noted rising upstream component costs as a potential driver, limiting panel makers' ability to reduce prices despite weakening demand. The shipping price increase may not directly translate to retail price changes, as distributors and retailers could absorb part of the adjustment. Dell has not officially confirmed the move, but ChannelGate's reports are considered credible.

This follows Dell's earlier PC price hikes of 15% to 20% in late 2025, which occurred before a 20.1% drop in Q3 2026 PC shipments. While the 3% to 5% monitor increase is reported as unconfirmed, buyers are advised to monitor current listings as the adjustment filters through retail channels.
