The documentary, titled 'The Chain,' will explore Fleetwood Mac's 50-year history through exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage, according to Apple Original Films. It is directed by Frank Marshall, who has previously worked on documentaries about The Bee Gees and Carole King and James Taylor.
The film's premiere on January 29, 2027, coincides with the 50th anniversary of the release of 'Rumours,' which sold over 40 million copies. Fleetwood Mac's surviving members—Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks—will participate, though Buckingham was fired from the band's 2018 reunion tour and later sued the group.
