Karoline Leavitt, the youngest person in U.S. history to serve as White House press secretary, has joined Fox News as a contributor. She will begin providing commentary and analysis on November 1, according to the network. Leavitt served as press secretary for Trump’s second term, stepping down in August 2026 to focus on family, though she remained an adviser to the administration.
Leavitt’s hiring follows a pattern of former White House officials joining Fox News, including Kayleigh McEnany and Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott emphasized her 'distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,' citing her firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail. Leavitt previously worked in Trump’s first administration and led his 2024 campaign as national press secretary.
Leavitt’s tenure as press secretary was marked by confrontational press briefings and frequent criticism of the media, while defending Trump’s policies. She also ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022 and served as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik. Her new role at Fox News will see her contribute across the network’s platforms, continuing her media presence after leaving the White House.
