No Man's Sky, a space simulation game developed by Hello Games, will launch on iOS devices on October 28, 2026, according to reports from Eurogamer and Kotaku. The game will be available on iPhone 11 and newer models, as well as third-generation iPad Airs, with pre-orders open.
The iOS version includes all updates from the game's decade-long development, including the recent Cosmos update. Hello Games claims the mobile port requires less than 4GB of storage, a significant reduction from its PC version's 32GB requirement. However, features like planetary settlements are limited to iPhone 15 Pro and above, and multiplayer functionality is not supported.
Studio co-founder Sean Murray stated that the mobile port was a technical challenge, with development efforts influenced by the studio's work on Light No Fire, a co-op adventure game set on a procedurally generated planet. Murray described the project as a "very important lesson of not talking about things too soon," as Light No Fire has remained "away from the spotlight" since its 2023 reveal.
The iOS version will use a "free to try" model, though the full purchase price has not been disclosed. Kotaku emphasized that the mobile release is not a "lite" version but the full game, with redesigned UI and controls for touchscreens. Both sources confirm the game will support controllers and mouse/keyboard input.
