ASUS and Galax, two of NVIDIA's graphics card board partners, have raised prices on certain RTX 50-series GPUs, with the changes taking effect September 1. The increases were first reported by Channel Gate and affect mid-range and upper-mid-range cards rather than the entire lineup.
According to the report, ASUS is raising RTX 5070 prices by 150 to 300 Yuan, or roughly $22 to $44. Galax is applying a 200 Yuan (about $30) increase to its RTX 5070, a 300 Yuan (around $44) increase to its RTX 5070 Ti, and a 500 Yuan (about $74) increase to its RTX 5080 — the steepest hike among the affected cards.
Budget models such as the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050, as well as the flagship RTX 5090, are not affected by this round of price changes. The RTX 5090 is already priced near $5000, according to one report.
This marks the third or fourth price hike on NVIDIA's RTX 50-series cards in 2026, as board partners continue to pass along rising costs. The increases are tied to higher GDDR7 memory costs, after NVIDIA reportedly raised prices on GPU-memory kits for its partners in July. NVIDIA had also raised prices specifically on the RTX 5090 in May due to the same memory cost pressures, and an earlier August price increase reportedly affected nearly all GeForce RTX 50 GPUs.
With ASUS and Galax having now adjusted pricing, other board partners such as MSI, Gigabyte, and Colorful may follow with similar increases, continuing a pattern seen throughout the year. There is currently no indication of when these price adjustments might end.
