ASUS has announced the Prime AP304, a panoramic ATX PC case built to showcase internal components while improving airflow. According to TechPowerUp, the case uses a patented slot vent with a three-sided ventilation structure designed to give the graphics card optimal cooling, paired with an integrated ARGB light band that works with ASUS Aura Sync software. Wccftech notes that the case's floating upper-chamber design allows cool air to be drawn in from the bottom, a layout it says resembles the Cougar CFV235 case reviewed previously by the outlet.
A standout feature is the curved tempered-glass panel that wraps from the front to the side of the case, giving a panoramic view of the interior. TechPowerUp reports that the glass goes through a five-stage manufacturing process approaching aerospace standards for strength and durability, and includes an easy-detach rail for simple removal and reattachment. Because the glass covers the front, Wccftech explains that front-panel cooling has been moved to the side, which can support a triple-fan setup or an all-in-one liquid cooler; additional AIO mounting points are available at the top and rear, supporting radiators up to 360mm according to Wccftech.
For graphics cards, ASUS includes a patented slot clamp that allows tool-free GPU installation by simply securing the card in the PCIe x16 slot. A reinforced bracket adds extra stability; TechPowerUp specifies this bracket supports cards between 300mm and 360mm long and is secured with screws, while Wccftech states the bracket supports GPUs up to 360mm long. Both sources agree the case itself can accommodate graphics cards up to 420mm in length.
On the rear of the case, ASUS has built in roughly 33mm of clearance for cable management along with a dedicated routing area, a detail confirmed by both TechPowerUp and Wccftech. Wccftech adds that this area includes two slots for installing 2.5-inch SSDs for additional SATA storage. TechPowerUp also highlights the top I/O panel, which includes a USB Type-C port capable of speeds up to 20 Gbps.
The Prime AP304 will be offered in black and white color options, with TechPowerUp noting that internal I/O cables are color-matched for a cohesive build, and that an ARGB variant comes with four pre-installed ARGB fans. Wccftech reports that ASUS has not yet disclosed pricing or availability details for the case.
