GMKtec has launched the Evo-X1 Pro, a compact mini PC built around AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, a 12-core, 24-thread Zen 5 chip that can boost up to 5.2 GHz. According to Wccftech, this marks GMKtec's first mini PC to use AMD's 'Gorgon Point' silicon. The chip includes the Radeon 890M integrated graphics carried over from its predecessor, which both outlets say is capable enough for gaming and demanding graphical tasks without a discrete GPU.
For users wanting more graphics power, the Evo-X1 Pro includes an OCuLink port supporting external GPUs. TechPowerUp reports this port runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds, delivering 64 Gbps of bandwidth—notably faster than Thunderbolt 4. Wccftech adds that the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 also provides an NPU rated at 55 TOPS, contributing to a combined 86 TOPS of AI performance, and notes the machine ships with GMKtec's proprietary AI software suite, GMKtec Claw, which supports AI agents and local AI applications.
