'Professor T' season 5, starring Ben Miller as criminologist Jasper Tempest, premieres in the U.S. and Canada on Sunday, August 9, with all six episodes available as a boxset on PBS Passport. The season also includes a U.S. TV premiere set for October 18. Director Dries Vos has described the new season's cases as 'darker, twisting,' and at least one additional season has already been confirmed. The season follows Tempest and Dr. Helena Goldberg (Juliet Stevenson) through cases at a spa hotel, a charity boxing match, a spiritual retreat, the murder of a crime writer, a coded-letter case, and a killing at a comic convention, while also tracking relationship developments involving Tempest and Goldberg and colleagues DS Dan Winters (Barney White), DCI Maiya Goswami (Sunetra Sarker) and DC Chloe Highsmith (Rhian Blundell).

U.K. viewers are a season behind, with season 4 premiering August 19 on ITV and ITVX; season 5 is expected roughly a year later based on past patterns. Separately, 'Anna Pigeon,' a 10-part crime drama starring Tracy Spiridakos and based on novels by Nevada Barr, premieres Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network in the U.S. New episodes air weekly, with the show also streamable via USA Network's platform or Fandango, and live via services such as Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling Blue in select markets. The series follows park ranger Anna Pigeon as she investigates crimes across national park settings; the first two episodes deal with a fellow ranger's death and a dangerous twist during a hide-and-seek game.
In Canada, 'Anna Pigeon' airs on Crave on the same schedule as the U.S. There is currently no release plan for the show in the U.K. or Australia.
