The outlet describes it as a glossy, melodramatic comfort watch with a passionate fanbase.
Also new to Netflix is "Ricky Gervais Alley Cats," an adult animated comedy series that Gervais writes, directs and voices, following a pack of stray cats causing mischief across a city. Tom's Guide notes the show is marketed heavily around Gervais's name and, despite its cartoon look, is not intended for children. Rounding out the Netflix picks is "The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare," a three-part true crime docuseries examining the murder of four college students in November 2022 using archive footage and interviews, which the outlet says has held Netflix's No. 1 spot for several days.
On Hulu, Tom's Guide recommends "Ex Machina," a 2014 sci-fi thriller from director Alex Garland starring Domhnall Gleeson as a programmer tasked with testing whether a humanoid AI, played by Alicia Vikander, can pass for human, with Oscar Isaac as the tech CEO behind the experiment. The outlet calls it possibly Garland's best work. It also flags the newly added horror film "Imaginary," starring DeWanda Wise, but notes its poor Rotten Tomatoes rating and instead recommends "Pearl," the 2022 slasher prequel starring Mia Goth, along with the other two films in Ti West's trilogy, "X" and "MaXXXine," all newly arrived on the service.

The heist thriller "The Score" (2001), starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Angela Bassett and Marlon Brando, is noted for its cast's combined 22 Oscar acting nominations and four wins.
