Polygon has refreshed several of its Fields of Mistria guides to reflect the farming and life-sim game's version 1.0 update, covering romance candidates, the in-game museum, and full catalogs of catchable fish and bugs. All of the guides were updated on Aug. 7, 2026.
According to Polygon's romance guide, Fields of Mistria has 12 marriage candidates, listed alphabetically as Adeline, Balor, Celine, Eiland, Hayden, Juniper, March, Reina, Ryis, and Valen, along with two secret candidates, Caldarus and Seridia, who are unlocked later in the story. Players can enter a relationship at heart rank eight, propose at rank 10, and have children afterward. The guide notes it was updated to include a romance candidate added in version 0.15, bringing the list current with the 1.0 update. Each candidate has specific liked and loved gifts; for example, Adeline likes tulips and peaches and loves peaches and cream and coffee, while Juniper likes items such as red toadstools and monster powder and loves moon fruit cake and crystal roses.
Polygon's museum guide describes four wings — Archaeology, Fish, Flora, and Insects — that players fill with collectibles tracked in the game's almanac. The Archaeology Wing is built around digging up circular dig spots found both on the surface and in the mines, with some items also obtained through fishing and diving once specific skills are unlocked. The guide states it was updated to include new museum sections added in both the 0.15 update and the 1.0 update, including a Metals of Mistria set and a Gems of Mistria set made up of perfect ores and gems. The Flora Wing requires growing or foraging seasonal crops, flowers, and forage items, while the Insects Wing was expanded in version 1.0 to include two non-bug sets, a Honey Set and a Bug Pheromone Set, obtained through apiaries and terrariums.
Polygon's bug guide reports that catching bugs is needed for villager requests and the museum, and that bugs can also be used in terrariums or apiaries to create pheromones and honey. Unlike fish, bugs have no designated skill level or tree, though some only appear at certain times of day or must be found inside rocks. The guide was updated with bugs added in version 0.15, and states no new bugs were added in the 1.0 update, making the list current.
Similarly, Polygon's fish guide says the in-game almanac lists 148 fish, though a few entries actually represent trash items like wood and fiber, or beach shells rather than true fish. Four legendary fish — cherry fish, leaf fish, lightning fish, and snow fish — can only be caught after reaching fishing level 30 and unlocking the 'Legendary' skill, with players receiving an in-game notification when one spawns. This guide was updated to add fish missing from the 0.15 update, and Polygon notes that no new fish were introduced in the 1.0 update.
Together, the guides indicate that Fields of Mistria's 1.0 update primarily expanded romance and museum content, including new collectible sets, while leaving the game's fish and bug rosters unchanged from the prior 0.15 update.
