Modders Enable NVIDIA's DLSS Frame Generation Preset C on RTX 30-Series GPUs

The short version

Modders have enabled NVIDIA's DLSS Frame Generation Preset C on RTX 30-Series GPUs via the Universal MFG Unlocker v1.5.0, offering 3x to 6x multi-frame generation. The preset, a beta performance mode for RTX 40 and higher, claims up to 35% performance gains with minor image quality trade-offs.

Modders have implemented NVIDIA's DLSS Frame Generation Preset C on RTX 30-Series GPUs using the Universal MFG Unlocker v1.5.0, which adds support for 3x to 6x multi-frame generation (MFG). This update, originally intended for RTX 40, RTX 50, and RTX Spark systems, allows RTX 30 cards to access the beta "performance mode" through unofficial means. NVIDIA describes Preset C as swapping one AI model in Frame Generation for a lighter algorithm, claiming up to 35% higher performance at the cost of slight image quality reductions.

The update stabilizes RTX 30 support for Preset C, with smoother frame pacing at 3x and above, though it only functions in DirectX 12 games. While official validation is limited to RTX 30 offline testing, Preset C was confirmed in-game on an RTX 40 card in The Witcher 3. The release also introduces XeSS Multi Frame Generation (2x-6x) via an OptiScaler plugin across NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel GPUs, alongside a fix for a launch crash in Gears of War: E-Day.
