Square Enix has laid out the full lineup of editions for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the concluding chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy, set for release on April 8, 2027 (Kotaku's report on the trilogy bundle lists the date as April 7, 2027). The Standard Edition costs $69.99, with physical copies including either a Magic: The Gathering card at select retailers or a folded poster through Amazon. A Deluxe Edition costs $99.99 and includes a mini-soundtrack, artbook, and steelbook case featuring art from all three trilogy games.
For players wanting early access, Square Enix is also offering a Premium Edition for $100 that includes the Story Expansion Pass — covering two DLCs, one starring Sephiroth and another featuring Vincent and the Turks — plus 24-hour early access to the game. The Sephiroth DLC is targeting a Winter 2027 release, while the Vincent and the Turks DLC is aiming for Spring 2028; individual prices for these have not been announced. A Premium Plus Edition costs $109.99 (reported as $110 by Kotaku) and adds a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and several in-game items on top of the Premium Edition's contents.
The most expensive option is the $349.99 Collector's Edition, sold exclusively through the Square Enix store and only available for console platforms — PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 — meaning PC players cannot purchase it. It includes everything from the Deluxe Edition along with the Story Expansion Pass and additional exclusive in-game items, but the centerpiece is a statue depicting Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth standing back-to-back with their weapons, with the figures measuring 6.7, 7.1, and 7.9 inches tall respectively. GamesRadar+ noted the UK price is set at £350, which does not reflect standard currency conversion from the US price.
Physical releases of Revelation will come on a single disc, but the game will require an internet connection to download additional data before it's playable. This marks a shift from Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, which shipped as multi-disc sets playable without an internet connection. The physical Switch 2 version will use a Game-Key card rather than a full game card.
Separately, Square Enix has introduced a discounted bundle for players who haven't yet started the trilogy: an $85 digital package on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC that includes Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and the standard version of Revelation (not the $100 early-access edition). The bundle undercuts the combined price of buying Remake Intergrade and Rebirth separately, which normally costs $90 together. As of the bundle's announcement, it wasn't yet available on the Switch 2 eShop, and it's unclear if or when that will change.
Coverage of the announcements has been mixed. While the trilogy discount was framed as good value for newcomers, the $100 early-access requirement and the shift to online-dependent physical discs drew criticism as examples of increasingly common industry practices that add cost or inconvenience for fans.
