In a VGC interview, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed the game's install size is likely to be around 200GB, citing the need to 'overcome the hardware to a certain extent.' This follows revelations that the physical retail version will include two Blu-ray discs alongside additional downloads, as previously disclosed.

The 200GB figure surpasses the storage requirements of earlier FF7 Remake trilogy entries, such as FF7 Remake (100GB) and Rebirth (155GB on PC). Hamaguchi emphasized that the scale of the game necessitates this size, though he expressed confidence in its ability to justify the demand despite concerns about storage constraints.

Eurogamer reported that Revelation will also receive two post-launch DLC packages, similar in scope to the Intermission DLC from the first game. These expansions will delve deeper into characters like Vincent and Sephiroth, though details about their narrative context remain undisclosed. The game is set for release on April 8, 2027, across multiple platforms.
